Located in the North-eastern part of Funen, Kerteminde is a municipality with almost 24,000 inhabitants living in or around the three commercial centres of Kerteminde, Munkebo, and Langeskov. 

 

 

Kerteminde has a great number og beautiful spots  and is renowned as the place in Denmark “where the good life can be enjoyed.”

Kerteminde’s 205 square kilometres coverage is full of exceedingly beautiful, unique and authentic nature. This includes the outstanding landscape at Fynshoved, Kerteminde’s vivid harbour which is Funen’s largest fishing port, and the delightful Lundsgaard Forest.    


Kerteminde is a municipality of culture
Although small in population compared to other municipalities, Kerteminde is a municipality rich of culture. In the Municipality, you may find a theatre, cafés & restaurants, a senior centre, art and historical museums, sport centres, a swimming-pool, a cinema, traditional annual festivals and so much more.

 

The citizens of Kerteminde contribute to the community through a string of social and cultural activities all serving the purpose of uniting the Municipality’s different age groups and improving their quality of life.
